Volume 1 focuses on CYBERPUNK, with 192 pages printed in black and cyber-green, the same colors that my bio-optics read the binary driftcode raining down on my Duotone NEC038 Cyberdeck Liquid Crystal Display Featuring 10 stories and one illustration section, the very first Ex.mag is a hardwired matrix hexcoded tribute to all those cyberpunks who fight against injustice and corruption every day of their lives.

Where ExMag started

The first issue that kicked everything off. ExMag is the original modern genre comic anthology showcase book, that has gone on to inspire many others within the indie comic space. Ex Mag was conceived and pitched to us by Wren McDonald, but it also has roots in one of the earliest PEOW comic collections, TIME CAPSULE. TIME CAPSULE was a riso printed sci-fi anthology featuring three "longer" minicomics, but only ran for two issues before being put aside for other project.
